JASON AND ELLIE’S DIY DEEPDALE FARM WEDDING
Getting the email for Jason and Ellie’s Deepdale Farm wedding was such a wonderful surprise. Not only because The North holds a special place in my heart. But because this Yorkshire wedding photography opportunity was with one of my dearest friends. Jason and I went to university together. I have been privileged enough to watch his and Ellie’s relationship blossom over the years. When they asked me to be involved with their wedding I was over the moon.
Jason and Ellie chose the most gorgeous venue to get married in. Deepdale Farm is a secluded rustic barn setting right in the Yorkshire countryside. It was the perfect place for the couples DIY wedding vision. Together they made most of the gorgeous details including the table runners, the table floral arrangements, the favours and the bouquets. Ellie’s sister lovingly made the wedding cake for the couple and her mother made meters of gorgeous white bunting.
“IT’s Like RAIN On your WEDDING Day”
– Dealing with RAIN for your DEEPDALE Farm Wedding
Planning your wedding is a wonderful experience, especially when you are so involved in the process. However, the weather is something that you cannot control. Unfortunately, this factor was all too apparent on Jason and Ellie’s big day. The weather forecast was rain all day. Luckily, Jason had read my blog post about what to do if it rains on your wedding day so was well versed in my tips and tricks for rain preparation. With umbrellas at the ready these two did not let a little precipitation ruin their day. Having your wedding at Deepdale Farm will know that there is not a great deal of indoor space. Therefore, embracing the elements is crucial to your enjoyment.
Jason and Ellie are one of those couples who you just want to be around. Their energy is infectious and listening to the speeches from their family and friends it was clear how loved they are. There was not a dry eye in the house as they danced to “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac as their first dance. As a photographer, I could not have felt more honoured that Jason and Ellie put their trust in me to photograph their Deepdale Farm wedding. Hopefully, you will feel the love and happiness through their wedding photographs.
