Sunny Outdoor Newborn Photography – A Holmbury Hill Family Shoot

Photographing Jen and her family for their Holmbury Hill family shoot was very refreshing. As the lockdown eased family shoots could take place outdoors.  Although most of my Surrey family photography takes place outside, due to Covid-19 this was a necessity.  Having outdoor newborn photography can be very useful. Especially if the weather is delightful. Being in the outdoors also means that other furry friends can be involved in your family photography sessions!

SURRY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

This family shoot was particularly exciting for me creatively. Having never photographed at Holmbury Hill, this shoot would enhance my Surrey family photography repertoire.  I have talked before about my favourite Surrey family photography locations, and this one will be added! This was also only the third Surrey family photography shoot that I had shot since the first Corona Virus lockdown was lifted. Previous to photographing Jen and her family, I had spent time with Joshua and his mums at St Martha’s Hill. I then was able to meet for a gorgeous outdoor newborn photography shoot at Box Hill.

The weather was beautiful and walking up to the the top of the beautiful scenic Surrey viewpoint, was a wonderful chance to get to know Matt and Jen. With their gorgeous baby and little furry friend in tow, venturing up through the woodland and up to the view point was lovely. It was a gloriously sunny day and the heat was wonderful. Being able to photograph families again was like a breath of fresh air. After so many moments away from other people in lockdown, connecting with clients was refreshing. I recently wrote about how to have a socially distanced family photography in a blog to assure families coming out of lockdown. All shoot of my shoots are planned with covid safe family photography in mind. They are outside and socially distanced, with movable dates in case of corona based guidelines.
