Natural and Relaxed Hertfordshire Family Photography – A Day In The Life of Baby Jessica
Travelling outside of Surrey for this Hertfordshire family photography shoot was very close to my heart indeed. Reconnecting with couples and families that I have photographed before is an utter joy. Especially when their gorgeous offspring is called Jessica. I have to mention before we continue. She has to have the most squish-able cheeks I have ever witnessed on a beautiful newborn baby. Loosing touch with Anna after her wedding was not something that I thought would happen. There are some couples who stay with you throughout your career and I felt it with her. So when she messaged me about having some relaxed newborn photography I jumped at the chance!
Photographing Anna and Ross’s wedding back in 2017 was such a privilege. Not to mention their wedding was BEAUTIFUL. They had the most gorgeous hygge inspired winter wedding at Ashridge House. When they contacted me about having a relaxed newborn photography shoot, it was such exciting news. They had just moved into a gorgeous new house. It was the perfect way to capture their new little family unit.
Anna, Ross and Baby Jessica’s Hertfordshire Family Photography Shoot
When you have a newborn baby everything is new and beautiful. Little moments that are usually overlooked are completely different. Lives change in such a momentous way when you have a child and capturing the every day moments are so important. When I arrived we all chatted and revelled in how cute Jessica is. The way that I conduct my family shoots is very relaxed and natural. I am not about sticking sleeping babies in buckets – respect to people who have the skill! We had a little catch up and whilst chatting I started documenting this new family. Little Jessica loved being in water so Anna and Ross decided to give her a bath during our session too.
Anna and Ross had decorated Jessica’s room so beautifully so I made sure to document this place for them too. First room’s and houses are so special to families. These details can go undocumented with everyday life. Remembering the placing of books, photographs and objects is a wonderful thing to capture. It was an absolute dream witnessing and documenting these new parents together. They are both so in love with little Jessica that capturing this little family unit was beautiful. I still cannot get over those GORGEOUS cheeks of Jessica’s! Anna, Ross and Jessica absolutely rocked their relaxed newborn photography shoot. You will all witness the cuteness.

They too are a long standing family of mine who I love catching up with and meeting all their new additions. Here is their Christmas family shoot or Jennie and Edward’s St Albans relaxed family shoot at home.
