OUTDOOR FAMILY SHOOT IN THE SUN
Outdoor Chantry Wood Family Shoot
There is something very magical about a Chantry Wood family shoot. The tall trees, the hike up the hill through the dense woodland. Maddy had got in contact with me about a surprise family shoot for her mother in law. It was to include all parts of the family to celebrate her mother in laws birthday. I suggested a woodland family shoot as the summer heat is dispersed with the tree branches, creating lovely shade and light.
There is something extremely wonderful that happens when extended families book a shoot together. There are lots of lovely combinations of portraits that you can set up. Not to mention the gorgeous moments in between of children laughing and playing with one another. As like every family who have not had professional photographs taken, Maddy and her family were a little apprehensive of the process. With reassurance and a little chat before hand the whole family took to the shoot like ducks to water. We made sure to capture all family set ups, dynamics and couples as well to make sure that everyone received the coverage they deserved.
I like to think of my family shoots as fun, natural and with a little guided portraiture thrown in too.
It was so wonderful to hike up the big old hill with Maddy and her family for this Chantry wood family shoot. The last time that I had photographed a shoot up at this woodland was for Frankie and Ollie’s engagement photographs and that seems like a lifetime ago. So creatively and selfishly it was refreshing to be back in such a gorgeous place of nature for this woodland family shoot.
THANK YOU for looking though this CHANTRY WOOD family shoot

Otherwise how about checking out Lizzie and Andy’s Ranmore Common engagement shoot or another woodland engagement shoot with Hayley and Scott. Perhaps you could take a look at little Jessica’s christening family shoot.
