THE JOY FAMILIES RELAXED AND FUN WALK IN THE PARK
The wonderful thing about providing family photography in Guildford is that you get to re-connect with old friends. Abbie was in my photography A’Level course at school. However, fast forward twelve of so years. Now she was a fabulous social care worker and had a family of her own! Gone were the days of giggling away in A’Level classes. She contacted me as she wanted to get some family portraits captured.
Meeting Abbie and her family somewhere that was special to them was important. The children knew which way the park was as they dashed off down the hill. The grown ups laughed and joked around with one another. Giggling about inside jokes that only families would know.
It is always so wonderful to reconnect with people that you have not seen for years. Time has flown by but the memories and things that you laughed about as kids comes flooding back. As Abbie and I reminisced about camping in beach huts by the sea, her family played and enjoyed each others company.
As always I make time for some family portraits within my documentary style of family photography. Choosing moments where children are happiest and most calm always makes portraits much more enjoyable… for all parties involved!
Capturing natural moments sandwiched within some guided portraiture is the best combination for family photography. No one is stressed and everyone enjoys themselves. Just take it from all the smiles and giggles in these photographs!
