AMY AND LUKE’S GORGEOUS OUTDOOR RHS WISLEY GARDEN WEDDING
To say that I have been dreaming of photographing a RHS Wisley garden wedding for a long time now would be an understatement. Being predominantly a Surrey wedding photographer, capturing a wedding at RHS Wisley gardens has been on my bucket list for locations. When Luke and Amy got in contact with me about their day, I knew in my bones that we were going to sync. They had such similar visions with how they wanted their wedding to feel. Which aligned perfectly with how I photograph wedding days. They wanted to focus on what was important to them as a couple and incorporate this with their wedding.
Intimate and Close RHS Wisley Garden Wedding
Luke and Amy wanted a very intimate wedding with just their closest friends and family. They had a wedding party of around 20 people. After having a canapé and champagne reception in the gardens, they were to head to The Ivy for their wedding breakfast. The couple decided that they wanted to walk together down the aisle to their ceremony. I absolutely LOVE it when couples do this. Starting your married life together and walking hand in had is the perfect way to start your journey. They got to walk down the iconic pathway by the canal with the Laboratory building in the back ground to meet their friends and family.
Wandering The Gardens When The Public Had Left the Venue Was a Career HIGHLIGHT!
I was excited to take portraits of Amy and Luke in the gardens. However, when I learned that we had free rein of the gardens to ourselves I became slightly giddy! Wandering the expansive garden at RHS Wisley for this wedding was such a wonderful experience to have with my couple. There were no prying eyes of the public, no waiting for backgrounds to clear from view. It was just pure magic to roam the garden after hours. They got to have their portraits in a calm and relaxed manner without having to jostle with the public. For that I will ever be grateful to the staff of the RHS Wisley gardens wedding team. They were so patient with the three of us when we took more time for portraits.
