Katie and Jon’s Chic Summer Surrey Wedding At Great Fosters
Up on the blog today is Katie and Jon’s beautiful Great Fosters wedding. I came with the couple a few months previous to the big day to look around the grounds and to talk through their wedding ideas. The gardens at Great Fosters are magnificent. There are almost too many places to shoot. We walked around the grounds and I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding at this venue.
If you too are getting married at Great Fosters and are interested in having me photograph your wedding please do get in touch!
Katie and Jon got married at Great Fosters in June with their closest family and friends. The couple chose to have their wedding here because having both lived in Surrey they thought that the venue was somewhere that best suited them as a couple. Katie is a make up artist and works a lot in film and television so she and her best friends did their own make up on the morning of the big day. The champagne was flowing and the laughter was infectious. Katie’s dress was a stunningly beautiful Ellis Bridal gown from Surrey Brides with a lace shrug. Paired with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels the bride could not have looked more stylish.
Before entering the ceremony the bride took a drive with her dad in her wedding car to a local pub that they had traditionally always went for a drink at near Great Fosters. The couple got married in the orangery and the room was filled with white and rose pink flowers arranged by The Fine Flower Company. After quite a teary ceremony the wedding guests were treated to cocktails in the conservatory. The wedding decorations were very simple and chic. Copper tea light holders and blush pink ribbons adorned the tables. This effortlessly chic aesthetic carried onto the couples portraits where Katie and Jon looked like they had stepped out of a model catalogue. Both so in love and filled with infectious laughter the two were totally besotted by each other.
Dinner was followed by hilarious speeches which had everyone crying with laughter. There was a rather incriminating photograph of Jon that his best man had kindly blown up for the wedding party to pass around and enjoy. The evening got kicked off by the traditional cake cutting and first dance which was intimate and lovely. I think that you can you can tell from the day how much everyone loved each other and enjoyed celebrating the marriage of Katie and Jon.
Thank you for stopping by and looking through Katie and Jon’s day
