Becky and Andy’s Gorgeous Driftwood Spars Wedding in St Agnes, Cornwall
Feast your eyes on this breathtaking Driftwood Spars wedding. Now, this may sound like I am blowing my own horn (well I am slightly) But how often does a Surrey wedding photographer bag a blinder of a wedding down on the Cornwall beaches? Well let me tell you something, I can now class myself as a Cornwall wedding photographer after this fabulous day. Couples portraits on a cliff – Check! Speeches with sea view – Check!
BEAUTIFUL DRIFTWOOD SPARS WEDDING – CORNWALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
So here is how a Surrey gal ended up on the beaches of Cornwall. Becky is from the UK and Andy is from New Zealand. However, they decided to get married and have a Cornwall wedding. After travelling all over the world together and meeting New Zealand, Becky and Andy share a love of the outdoors. They wanted to have a wedding that was organic, relaxed and fun where they celebrated with their friends and family in a gorgeous setting.
On her wedding day Becky opted for a gorgeous boho flower crown, matching with her bridesmaids and made by Flowershed Trebilocks. Getting ready just over the road from the church, Becky and her bridesmaids watched through the windows as people arrived and entered the church. As they left the ceremony the clouds brightened and they were able to walk to the ceremony without umbrellas! From then on the sun broke through the clouds and set in motion the tone for the rest of the day.
FABULOUS BEACH FRONT DRIFTWOOD SPARS WEDDING
The guests followed the bride and groom down the road to their reception at Driftwood Spars which was decorated with personal touches. They had sea shells decorating the tables that were native to Andy’s New Zealand home. A keg of beer was served to the guests and was named ‘Bandy goes Bush’ inspired by their African adventures and the band that they got to play, Siboney and Andy, was from their local pub in London.
The Cornwall wedding reception Driftwood Spars overlooks Trevaunce Cove. This is where Becky and Andy decided to have the majority of their speeches. In the open air overlooking the sea. We slipped away to have some couples photographs on the cliff tops before the guests were called for the wedding breakfast. As the sun set we took a walk and managed to catch the most glorious sunset together on the beach. You can see why now I can call myself a Cornwall wedding photographer – LOOK at that beach sunset! I hope that you enjoy looking through these images, as much as I loved taking them.
