RELAXED AND INTIMATE MARLOW WEDDING WITH AFTERNOON TEA
Up on the blog this week is a selection of Buckinghamshire wedding photography with Janet and Steve’s intimate Marlow wedding. Janet and Steve were married at the registry office in Marlow in front of an intimate selection of guests. The couple wanted a memorable and close-knit ceremony with their family and friends. The wedding party met outside the registry office on a mild and wonderful April weekend.
The couple walked down the aisle together with their children. Having a blended family with grown up children is always a wonderful experience to capture. Janet and Steve wanted to incorporate their whole families in their wedding day. It was something that was especially important to them. Steve’s son was in charge of handing the rings and Janet’s son gave her away. A highlight of the ceremony, apart from the love that Janet and Steve had for each other was when Steve’s son dropped the ring after making a joke about being careful with them!
After the ceremony the couple’s close family friend opened up their home for the intimate afternoon tea reception. It was a wonderful setting for the reception. Right on the river, the couple and their families enjoyed afternoon tea and champagne together. After a small speech given by Janet’s son the couple and their families had some group photographs in the garden. Having a little time together for couples portraits is important so Janet, Steve and I took a little walk down to the water front.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST
Wedding days that stray from the normal structure are always pleasing. It demonstrates to others elements of the wedding day that were important to the couple. In Janet and Steve’s case their main priority was spending time with their family and closest friends. The reception was followed by a meal out for 60 of their closest friends at The Marlow Bar and Grill. With an open air reception Janet and Steve’s reception it felt like you could have been in Australia. With gorgeous eucalyptus and rosemary table runners and chic table settings the wedding breakfast room was designed beautifully.
