This GLORIOUS wedding at Bury Court Barn was my second of the year! How lucky I am? Amazing couples who choose me to photograph their weddings at a wonderful venue. Its the Surrey wedding photographers golden ticket! The last wedding at Bury Court Barn that I photographed was Dylan and Bruna’s Autumnal wedding. So I was so excited to be back to capture the day for Emma and Roy.

Fun, Florals and Rainy Moments – The Perfect Recipe for a Wonderful Wedding Day!

It was an absolute honour to photograph Emma and Roy’s wedding at Bury Court Barn. I had captured their wedding during after math of the pandemic. They had a sweet marquee wedding with their closest friends and family at Emma’s parents home in Henley-on-Thames. Getting to know your couples and being involved in not one, but two weddings is very special. Both wedding days that Emma and Roy designed were wonderful. They focussed on what was important to them – food, family and friends and FUN!

Emma and Roy chose such wonderful suppliers to enhance the aesthetics of their wedding at Bury Court Barn. The floral design by Flowers by Jamie alone took your breath away! With a personal wedding ceremony performed by Sarah Sweeney they exited through a flower petal confetti aisle. The rain made a slight appearance but only to produce the most perfect rainbow! It was such a lucky and wonderful addition to the day. Emma and Roy embraced the rain and had some dreamy couples portraits together, before returning to the courtyard for outdoor speeches. What a treat to have speeches outdoors. This is like the photographers holy grail.

BRUNA AND DYLAN’S INTIMATE AUTUMNAL BURY COURT BARN WEDDING

As a Surrey wedding photographer, getting to capture a Bury Court Barn wedding has always been high up on my wish list. The venue is just so beautiful and versatile. It can accomodate both a larger and an intimate wedding alike without feeling like the space is overwhelming. This is why when Bruna and Dylan contacted me I was so excited to be part of their day. They were having a micro wedding and these are some of my absolute favourites.

SWEET and INTIMATE WEDDING IN AUTUMN

Bruna got ready at Bury Court Barn on the morning of her wedding with her bridesmaids and family, along side Dylan and his groomsmen (although the two did not meet until the ceremony!) Getting ready in the same place that you have your wedding ceremony is such a game changer, both for time and for elevating stress on the day. Bruna wore a beautiful Grace Loves Lace wedding dress paired with gorgeous Charlotte Mills Shoes. Bruna’s grandparents walked her down the aisle, which was such a lovely moment to capture.

What is so amazing about having a Bury Court Barn wedding is after your ceremony you can enjoy a lovely outdoor reception, which is such a luxury on an autumnal English day. However, I am not surprised that we were lucky with the weather because Bruna and Dylan had their wedding on the best day of the year. Now I am biased, as their wedding fell on my birthday!
